1st SAL.....Peg, Dale and I committed to stitching Anni Downs - A Gardener's Journal in March. I blogged about this on my blog thinking maybe one or 2 others may join us and lots of girls indicated an interest so I decided to start this blog where we can all encourage each other to meet the goals set along the way....March 2010 -March 2011...........
2nd SAL ......well so many of the girls wanted to continue on with another project and some new girls joined us and now approx 91 girls are stitching Natalie Bird's Tis the Season. March to Sept 2011...............
3rd SAL....many girls want to stick with the SAL so now we have moved onto Anni Downs Some Kind of Wonderful - My Favourite Things Quilt.......Oct 2011-Oct 2012.........
Where are we now.....
4th SAL 2013...is numerous smaller projects from the previous 2 books Tis the Season and Some Kind of Wonderful plus some projects from Red Home by Natalie Bird approx 60 ladies stitching together.........
2014 we had the year off..............
5th SAL 2015..........inspired to continue we are doing another quilt project.....Anni Downs newest quilt Natures Journey.....
6th SAL 2017.............A Holly Cottage Christmas by Michelle Ridgway.......once again the pattern is in an affordable book so it is easy for everyone to join in...........and you can raid your stash for the fabrics........or lash out and buy a the whole lot........this SAL will be run by Fiona aka Bubz Rugz and Raewyn........

what's happening..........

If you read my blog you know I just went to the quilt show in Sydney..............had a fantastic time.................not long before I got to the quilt show at lunch time I got a text from Fiona which said "I found a good project for SAL" where was she.............she was at Anni's stand and looking at Anni's new book "Some Kind of Wonderful"..........I text back "U haven't been reading the SAL"
maybe some of you missed this post...........anyway I have thought more about it and quite a few of you have the book now and that is what we are moving onto after this SAL..............I know I won't get the things done from it if I don't have your hassling  support...........
added: WE ARE NOT STARTING THIS UNTIL AFTER THE CURRENT SAL FINISHES
Anni's stand was gorgeous as usual and she had all the quilts and projects from the book hanging around............
She also had some kits for the book projects so I got.....
this bag.........
a Needle book
and no pic but the little pincushion too.......
......mainly got the kits because I love the colours......and I didn't have the fabric for the stitchery bag above...........
email Anni if you want some fabric kits
TIS THE SEASON.............
How is everyone going with the June Tis the Season blocks................I don't have mine done for my quilt (and it's not happening tonight) but I have stitched the June blocks and another set of blocks for 2 projects...........I used different colour threads and fabrics............i'll try and get some pics soon........
i'll get the blog sidebar updated very soon........but there are heaps of post while I was away..........we even passed 1000 posts on the SAL blog...........go girls...........
Keep Stitching............

Oooh how exciting! I've been trying to think of a good excuse to buy that book...and now I have one LOL!
Having a new project waiting in the wings is a great motivator to finish up some other projects...I'd better get stitching!
