2nd SAL ......well so many of the girls wanted to continue on with another project and some new girls joined us and now approx 91 girls are stitching Natalie Bird's Tis the Season. March to Sept 2011
Where are we now.....3rd SAL....many girls want to stick with the SAL so now we have moved onto Anni Downs Some Kind of Wonderful - My Favourite Things Quilt.......Oct 2011-Oct 2012............Welcome.....Chookyblue

Block C done - only a month late.

I have finished block C. I've never sewn a 'square in a square' block before. I am going to have to practise these a bit more to get those points right.
That's a bit of a strange dog in the above block! I'm going to dedicate this quilt to my maternal line. I'll explain that more later, but none of them were really dog lovers. They may have had dogs on the farms, but not when they got to town. They had chooks though.
I should have July's block finished tomorrow. My eyes are just too tired tonight. I've already made a boo boo with the violet wreath. I've got it off centre. I may see how much it annoys me and I might do it again.

I love your chook! A very pretty fabric range and I can't see that your flower wreath is off centre!

Well done Kayly...love your strange dog and such pretty fabrics. I had trouble with the two wreath blocks, they turned out too small! Fudged one in the seam allowance and added a teeny narrow border on the other to bring it up to size - your's looks fine to me.

I like that you've added your own touch there with the Chook...The wreath block is different but I think they look so good, yours as well...Glad you caught up before the next month began...
