Final SAL completed.

Here is my completed needle book. 

I am very thankful to Chookyblue for letting me join in the SAL. I am happy to complete all months with no Ps recorded.

July project

Today I finished my Chilly Penguin bag. 

I used the mouse in boots stitchery as I wanted to make sure I could use the bag more than just Christmas. 

I really liked the design and bag size and can see more being made.

June all done.

Happy dance!

Look what I found in my sewing bag I take to Saturday sewing. My pin cushions pieces. 

In under an hour those pieces were transformed into my pin cushion. 

I knew once I got to the machine it wouldn't take long to put together. 

Now for July. 

 

Might have to pass until...

I locate my pin cushions sides. 

I have stitched them and they are in a safe place I just don't know where the safe place is.

May project all done

This weekend I met with friends and had a weekend of sewing. 

I had my stitchery ready, fabric chosen and sewing machine threaded up. 

I spent all day Saturday putting my bag together. 

I was toying with the idea of adding a pocket to the inside of the bag. 

It was suggested I use a magnet instead. 

I put a magnet into the lining of the bag. 

Then I made a Lanyon with a lobster clasp at the end and attached the other magnet to the Lanyon. 

So now when I have keys or scissors attached to the Lanyon I won't lose them  As they will be attached to the magnet in my bag. 

I enjoyed making the bag so who knows another might be made in the future. 

April finished

Very happy with this very cute hanging.

Surprise visitor

This morning I was pleasantly surprised when I had a visitor.

Jan, from Little Red Hen, and her husband was in Forbes and called in to say hi.

April project

Today I took advantage of the sale at Nellies Patchwork Shop. They have 40% off a wide range of fabrics.

I bought my fabric for my Bon Noel Wallhanging. Now I only have to cut and sew it all together.

Stitching done for April!

This past weekend I was able to stitch the designs I am using for the April project.

Now to cut up the fabric. This is for next weekend.

Pin cushion number two.

I loved making my first pin cushion so I thought making another would be a great idea.
I have used Sunshine fabric from Riley Blake. I also included the rice weight. This pin cushion is going in my birthday box and I have just the right person in mind.

March committment all done!

Last night I joined up with a number of other ladies for Friday Night with Friends.

I completed lots of things but especially love this finish!

Here is my February finish. The front of the bag and the lining ate shown in the photos.

I love the finished bag.
It is a great size with pockets and i think the fabrics are gorgeous.

Now to begin to prepare the task for March.

True Friends Tote bag nearly done

Just doing a happy dance as I am nearly finished my Tote bag. 
The front and back blocks are sewn and waiting to be sewn together.

I just ran out of weekend hours to finish it.

This coming weekend I will be sewing the bag together.

February stitching has begun.

Friday night I began Februarys project.
I traced the stitchery for the True Friends Tote bag and began stitching the design

I will be using my French General fabrics I bought when I was holidaying in Canberra this past Christmas.

One thread catcher

Today I made up my first, certainly not my last, thread catcher.

I used mum's  Pfaff sewing machine to sew this and  just like others who have posted on this blog I too chose a decorative stitch for the edging.

Shoe bags all done

Today I finished my "Some Kind of Wonderful" shoe bags.  I made two of these bags. 

 

My Red Home book has been dispatched (so the email says). I am hoping that when I go home the postie will deliver my copy of Red Home .  I should have got it delivered to mum's house, but seeing how quick these baskets are being made I am sure I can make one or two before the end of the month.

I am loving all the posts of the shoe bags and baskets. There are some gorgeous fabrics being used.
