Block A finally finished!

I am way behind of all you ladies, but must admit I am so excited to be catching up. I finished Block A tonight at 11.30pm, Adelaide, South Australia time on the 30/6/10. I had wanted to be further ahead by now but life happens. I have used a Moda, Collections for a Cause-Legacy Jelly Roll and Charm Pack I had leftover from a prevoius project. Tonight it is very cold here... 3.5 degrees C, now I am going to sit and admire my block with a lovely cuppa before I retire to bed, very happy that I have finished my first block and looking forward to start tracing the next block tomorrow. Thanks for spurring me on ladies, your blocks all look wonderful.
Happy Stitching
Sweet Cinnamon-y Hugs to All.

Still Waiting to Stitch...

I'm loving seeing all the progress every one is making...and itching to start stitching but alas and alack still no background fabric...enquiries revealed the fabric on order for the last two months is due arrive in the country at the end of April...and that is the container arriving at the wharf not the shop being able to take delivery...Yikes!...way too long...So...
Emergency email discussions were held...trip to Melbourne was undertaken to Ms K's kitchen for coffee and swatch card consulting...decision made (not easy for two Librans!) and order immediately placed for replacement...it is closer...hopefully the revised fabric purchase plan will come to fruition and the parcel will arrive this week.
In the meantime I have to content myself with "preparation" today - organising floss colours, cutting out the various block fabrics and referring to the blog to check out all your lovely variations.
Going through the book this morning I see that "The Potting Shed" doesn't have its own project so here's one I prepared earlier...
A couple of years ago at sewing group's retreat we made these old fashioned boxes and I used "The Potting Shed' as my stitchery of choice.
It's doing that water falling from sky thing here today (yay!), a perfect day for sewing room occupation.
Hope your day includes lots of Gardener's Journal stitchy time...

Hi Everyone

I am Jodie from "Paradise" http://www.quiltparadise.blogspot.com/ I look forward to getting to know you all a little better.

To Chooky and Peg, thanks so much for letting me join in. For some reason I had a head rush and decided I wanted to join a quilt-along with stitchery? Who'd have thunk it?

Anyway I have almost finished the "Potting Shed" so that means I am working on Block A.

The photo above shows the 10 fabrics I chose originally, but they are FQs so I have duplicates of some, but will have to add in some others. Will sort that out when it comes time to assemble the block.

I hope I am there at GDITC 2011 to show off my progress, fingers crossed it is NOT Saturday March 12 because that will be the only reason I can't come. Can you believe there have been three now? Seems so long ago when I went to the inaugural one.

Starting to waffle so I will end this post.

Jodie
