She said that nobody will be sitting next to me with the book and say, "but it supposed to look like this!"

Quick question... Are you using glue stick appliqué? Once altogether you won't be looking at every block so close up either but if not happy redo as it will continue to bug you until you do. Remember the pattern is a suggestion, not necessarily the rule. Change it to suit your tastes & fabric on hand. Join fabrics to make the jeans block. If it's normal quality quilting fabric I don't know of any reason you can't use it in any direction. If I am wrong hopefully someone will say. I love your jeans fabric. Hope little one & yourself are feeling better too. Maybe a solid brown for the "tea" part - and maybe for the jeans block you could piece strips to make the block big enough and them make sure you do a pieced block in each row to make it look like it was always meant to be - that daisy block will possibly cause you problems too so that would be a great one to piece. (And you dont have to put the block in the same order as the pattern so you can mix up where the pieced one goes). Anyway just a thought.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09240985402610409417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6704756198346975611.post-62302786421223514282011-11-21T19:21:46.125+11:002011-11-21T19:21:46.125+11:00love your colours Helen, and I think your blocks l...love your colours Helen, and I think your blocks look great..umm I don't know about the fabric going the other way so can't advise, cheers VickieVickiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02152264077328052247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6704756198346975611.post-82632752396132077622011-11-21T19:20:00.133+11:002011-11-21T19:20:00.133+11:00Hi!
